The exhibition ” Hand in Hand” combines the oeuvre of artist colleagues and friends Bruno Bruni and Eduardo Arroyo, who worked together to create collage works on paper after the Surrealist exquisite corpse method. These are wonderful works that provide space for each artist and their own personal signature. At the same time, the different approaches interact with one another in an exhilarating dialogue. A variety of style elements converge in this encounter, illustrating the relationship between humans, animals and nature in a series of drawings and vibrantly coloured collages.

Eduardo Arroyo is a multi-talent; not just a painter, but also an author and stage designer. Arroyo views himself as a European citizen, and draws from art history for his work. However, literature, the worlds of comics, boxing and his own ideas – the man in a hat, the chimney-sweep, shoes, figures in silhouette, and featureless faces – provide him with an extensive repertoire for his flat, stylish pictures, which in addition to a certain absurd humour also contain a serious profundity and an enigmatic dimension.
